You can submit any flash video that does not contain nudity, foul language, illegal or adult content. The video must be hosted on another site that allows embedding on our site. Each video is automatically associated with a web site. If you don't submit your own web site, your video will link to the video page on the host site (YouTube, Google Video, MySpaceTV, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Blip.tv). The click counter shows how many of your views actually clicked your web site link. Some hosts link to the video page by clicking on the video. meScreen.com counts clicks only when a viewer clicks the actual promo link we provide. 1. Poor internet connection - Try reloading the page once.
2. Blocked video - Check to see if the video is allowed from your video host to be embeded in other web sites.
3. Bad URL - Go back to the host site and recopy the embedding code URL and resubmit

First try the embed code from your host. If the embed code fails try the permalink they provide. We support the following hosts specifically: YouTube, Google Video, MySpaceTV, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Blip.tv

This section applies to videos that are hosted on your own web site and NOT on one of the following popular video sharing sites: YouTube, Google Video, MySpaceTV, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Blip.tv

To show your own video your host must allow 3rd party embedding of the video. Then submit the URL of the actual flash video file on your site, NOT the URL of the web site itself. If you don't know the video URL, you can usually find it by looking at your HTML source and including the URL from the SRC attribute of the EMBED tag.

When you submit the video, the verification page will give you a place to enter the site URL so that anyone watching the video can link directly to your web site. Click here to resubmit.

We do not force anyone to watch your video so meScreen.com counts a view immediately when we direct someone to your video regardless of whether the viewer stays 1 second, or 10 minutes. If your video is hosted by one of our prefferred hosts (YouTube, Google Video, MySpaceTV, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Blip.tv) then we set your video to autoplay when loaded.

Video sharing sites all count views differently. Not all hosts count views from embedded videos, such as meScreen.com, but most do count embedded views when the video plays at least half way. For this reason we recommend submitting only videos under 4 minutes in length.

Depending on your host any of the following can lead to understated views counts:

• Host may not count views from embedded players
• Host may require a minimum viewing time to count a view
• Host may only update count hourly or daily, not instantly
• Host may not count views unless viewer clicks the play button
• Host video may not load even though we directed the browser to load it
• Host may have begun blocking embedded views of the video
• Viewer browsers may block views due to javascript disabled
• Viewer may set browser to not load videos even though we send redirect information
• Viewers may have add-ons installed on their computer that interfere
• Viewers browser may be incompatible with meScreen.com

If meScreen.com reports views and your host's view counter does not increase even after several days, check to make sure your video is loading correctly by clicking "edit" next to the video on your "my account" page

According to tubemogul.com as of June 2007, AOL, Youtube, Metacafe, myspace, and revver do count embedded views. Unfortuantely, they also report that Dailymotion, Google Video and Yahoo video do not count embedded views. These viewers do actually see your video, but it will not show in your hosts counter.
